The artificial intelligence (AI) technique by which computers use data they've been fed to make decisions. Basically, deep learning imitates the way our human brains process what we've already learned when we make our own choices.

It sounds super creepy and futuristic, but it's likely you already enjoy the benefits of deep learning every day. For example, Netflix uses it to make suggestions for what you should watch based on your viewing habits. (Yep, the robots know all about your Say Yes to the Dress addiction.)
