Dirty Stock

Categories: Stocks, Ethics/Morals

Dirty stock hasn’t been transferred properly, or is held up for some type of technical reason. Therefore, good delivery does not occur. It might still technically, legally be owned by somebody else. So if you buy a stock with restrictions that would prevent good delivery, that is dirty stock.
