e-CBOT

The Chicago Board of Trade, or CBOT, is a commodity exchange that’s been around since the mid-1800s. CBOT now has its own electronic trading platform: e-CBOT.

Investors use e-CBOT to make futures and options contracts in addition to trading things you might see in Settlers of Catan: wheat, flour, silver, gold, ethanol, and even energy. Thus, e-CBOT is a marketplace platform where speculators, futures markets hedgers, and commodity settlers (er...traders) all convene to trade and invest, Chicago-style.
