FAANG Stocks

Everyone wants to be a cool kid, especially in the stock market.

FAANG stocks are just that: the cool kid stocks: Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, and Google… the top performing tech stocks (at least for some hot growthy period of time).

Originally, FAANG was one tooth fewer, as FANG...Apple joined the list after the term was created. FAANG is a big deal, because any one of these stocks going up or down has a big impact on the entire stock market, purely because of their size (and, well, because technology is kind of a big deal these days).

Since they’re top-performing money makers in a sector set to grow, more and more people are investing in them…kind of a chicken-or-the-egg situation. Either way, they’re top stocks for their price-to-earnings ratios.
