Actually, a fixed debenture is just a low priority in the stack bond (i.e. debentures are just a handshake promise to pay back the principal and interest, backed by more or less nothing else) which has a fixed interest rate.

Like, think: 5.352% annualized rate, payable twice a year, with principal due in 10 years. Something like that. Let's hope the hand is still around when collectin' time comes.
