Fudget

We used to hate it when our friends asked us to make plans, because we never knew ahead of time if we were going to have enough money after bills to do anything fun. Sure, we’d heard about this thing called “budgeting,” but who has time to boot up the laptop and mess with Excel every time we buy a burrito or have to pay another parking ticket? We used to wish there was a better way.

But then, like a shot of adrenaline straight to the heart, Fudget came into our lives. Fudget is an app that’s designed to help us budget, and since we can download it onto our smartphones (which are, let’s face it, practically fused to our flesh at this point), we can update our spending and earning instantly. No more clunky laptop; no more Excel. And furthermore, we can set up repeating costs, we can put items in the order that makes the most sense to us, and we can do it all without having to link to any of our personal bank account info. Fudget FTW, right?

There are other budgeting apps out there. Some are free; some aren’t. Some are geared toward simple budgets; some are designed for people whose financial lives are way too complicated. But if we’re looking for an easy way to track what we spend and earn right from the comfort of our very own smartphone, then Fudget is definitely an app worth looking into.
