Fund Manager

The gunslinger. The heffe. The head honcho. The person whom investors laud. And blame.

The fund can be of any flavor: Hedge, Mutual, Private Equity, Venture Capital, etc. (But not index, because index funds aren't really managed funds). Do a good job, beat your bogeys, beat the market, beat the indices, and you're a hero. Don't, and you're a goat. And that's not Greatest Of All Time. It's the kind with hair in weird places who eat anything.

Fail at this gig and you're likely driving for Uber as your next one. End up being good at it, and you make tens of millions of dollars a year, if not more. So...be good.
