Gold Bug

A gold bug is a person who is all about the gold. (Goldmember from the Austin Powers movies? Probably a gold bug.) Like...they've caught a virus or disease or...something...that infects their brain.

These folks are big fans of investing in gold, and also tend to support the gold standard. They see the fluctuations in the market and in currency valuations around the globe, and they believe that holding onto gold will help prevent those fluctuations from taking a toll on their personal investments.

Every fixture in their bathroom? Gold. Their teeth? Gold. Their portfolio? Mostly long gold. Gold, gold, gold.
