Growth Stock

One that...grows.

That is, the reliance for investors buying that stock is that the shares themselves appreciate in value. There isn't a second source of economic gains...like from stock dividends...that will do much to move the investing needle.

Growth companies generally reinvest the cash that would have notionally been paid out as a dividend....into more growth. Open China. Launch a new brand. Add bluetooth because, like, what isn't better than bluetooth and a Diet Coke?
