Holding Costs

Categories: Real Estate

See: Carrying Costs. Same basic idea.

When you hold a piece of property, it usually costs money to hold it (versus just selling it and moving on). And there's risk that something bad happens to it while you're holding it.

Remember the wedding vow, "To have and to hold..."? Something like that. If you're gonna hold, hold for the long run. If you're gonna cut and run, cut it fast.
