It involves looking at a company's growth plan and figuring out the human resource implications (i.e. hiring and personnel management) those expectations will create.
How many people do we need to hire? What qualifications will they need to have? What kinds of benefits and perks do we need to offer to get the kind of people we want? All these questions play a part in human resource planning.
