In investing circles, the point of money is to make more money. Cash should get injected into investments where they can earn a return.
If they aren’t...if the funds are just sitting in a mayonnaise jar buried in the backyard or in a simple checking account earning nonsense interest...they become known as “idle funds.” They aren’t earning anything. They are just...sitting around.
