Independent Community Bankers Of America - ICBA

The Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) is the club to be a part of for small and mid-sized U.S. banks, i.e. community banks.

While community banks are smale, the ICBA represents about 5,000 of them, so they do have some voice in the larger banking community (and, uh...lobbying). Like many industry groups, the Independent Community Bankers of America is headquartered in Washington D.C.

What does the ICBA want? Mainly to not be snuffed out by credit unions (if they got preferential treatment), and to have more say in who regulates them, which shouldn’t only be a privilege for big banks, right?
