International Bank Of Reconstruction And Development - IBRD

The International Bank of Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) is the largest development bank in the world, giving out loans and advice to countries. IBRD is administered by the World Bank with the aim of reducing poverty and creating sustainable growth.
The International Bank of Reconstruction and Development’s first mission was to help everyone recover from the devastation of WWII. Today, it serves countries with income per capita around $1k to $12.5k (think: Thailand, India, and Indonesia...the "tiger economies"), many of which are growing rapidly.
IBRD doles out loans for helping governments, creating infrastructure, developing agriculture, and improving skills of the workforce.
