International Currency

While those polished rocks you and your brother used for “buying” your favorite Disney VHS tapes from each other is technically a currency, it’s only an informal one.
An international currency is one that’s recognized and used across the globe. While national currencies are the most common type of international currency (U.S. Dollar, British Pound, Chinese Renminbi, the euro...), many cryptocurrencies (like big boy Bitcoin), which aren’t associated with a government, are gaining international currency status. And there's always the stalwart in gold.
Think: Krugerrands. All good when you're an international spy on the lam.
