Involuntary Cash-Out

You thought the Board loved you. But...they didn't. And when you looked at the contract, it turned out they had the right to take all of your shares, or ownership position, in the company (at a price) and force you to sell all your shares. And this was a big fat bummer, because the company was doing well. You thought you'd make an IPO happen later in the year. But no such luck.

When you're out, you're out.
