Licensed International Financial Analyst - LIFA

Categories: Education, Regulations

Sometimes it’s not good enough to just say we’re awesome at something. Sometimes people want proof.

Well, if what we’re awesome at includes global markets, asset valuation, financial analysis, international economics, and the like, good news: there’s a professional designation for that. It’s called LIFA—Licensed International Financial Analyst—and if we meet the prerequisites and can pass the three exams, we can add this esteemed designation to our own resumes.

Professionally-designated LIFAs are considered experts in the world of global finance and investing. Not only do they know their markets, but they also know their ethics: it’s one of the topics covered by the exams. In addition, every LIFA has to submit an annual professional conduct statement, asserting they’ve been good girls and boys all year long, in order to keep their designation in good standing.
