Linden Dollar

Categories: Econ

The Linden dollar is the currency used in the virtual landscape called Second Life. Have some second dollars with your second life...it only makes sense.

If you weren’t already in-the-know, Second Life is a virtual world where you can make your own avatar and interact with others. It’s designed to be like real life, but with more freedoms, like easy worldwide travel, and really whatever you want to do...party, walk around, skydive, etc.

The Linden dollar is called the Linden dollar and not the Second Life dollar because it was named after the Linden Lab, which created Second Life in the early 2000s. Just as in real life, you can use this currency in Second Life to buy clothes, cars, or a house...or get paid for work.
