The options are listed so that they can be traded. You can find them on your little Bloomberg terminal. The options are priced with all of the minimums met for the host, or whoever is listing them.

Calls on the September KO $55s are listed at $1.20, $1.50, meaning that there are bidders wanting to buy them for $1.20 and willing to sell them at $1.50. And yes, options often have massive spreads like this. Be picky. YAHOO = You Always Have Other Options.
