Littoral Land

Categories: Real Estate

We all have dreams, right? Some people dream of playing for the NFL. Some people dream about visiting outer space. As for us, our dream is to buy and live on a piece of littoral land.

For those wondering if we just misspelled the word “literal,” no, we literally did not.

“Littoral land” is land that borders on an ocean, sea, or big lake, and—no surprise here—it tends to be a lot more expensive than boring old landlocked land.

One thing to note: littoral land is not the same as riparian land, though they both involve water. Riparian land borders a flowing water source, like a river or stream. It also tends to be more expensive than non-water-adjacent land, but for us, riverfront property just isn’t going to do it. It’s beachfront or nothing. Littorally.
