Magnet Employer

Categories: Company Management

A “magnet employer” does not employ magnets. Magnets are not sentient beings. (At least not yet.)

What a magnet employer does do, however, is attract a ton of potential employees…like a magnet. The reasons why the company is so magnetic might vary. Maybe they pay really well and have sweet employee perks and benefits. Maybe they’re a prestigious firm that anyone who’s anyone would love to have on their resume. Maybe they’re in a new and exciting industry that everyone wants to be a part of. Whatever the reason, they consistently receive more resumes and applications than other comparable companies, which means they can often hire the best of the best…without even having to go out and recruit them.
