Middle Class

Categories: Econ

Ah, the middle class. The group destroyed by the modern political climate. Not super-poor, not super-rich. In the middle .

Help for this group is going down as tax rates go up. People in Washington view the country as one Thing when, in fact, "middle class" wages mean something vastly different in Des Moines, where you feel rich on 200 grand a year and where a really nice home is 500 grand...versus 200 grand in Silicon Valley, where a 3-bedroom dump is 4 million bucks. Yet we have one Federal set of guidelines for most scholarships and aid packages and tax rates.

At some point, you'd think the middle class would rebel, but for whatever reason, they seem to be keeping their mouths shut about the injustices assaulting them, hoping that the sun'll come out tomorrow.
