MonaCoin

“MonaCoin” is kind of like the Japanese version of Bitcoin or Litecoin. It’s a digital cryptocurrency based on a P2P payment network. It was created in 2013 as a hard fork of Litecoin, but it’s designed to be faster, bigger, and run on different algorithms than its cryptodad.
While we don’t know much about the MonaCoin creators and project team, we do know this: there’s a rumor going around that some dude managed to buy an entire plot of land in Japan with MonaCoin.
As of 2018, it had a market cap of over $300 billion, so there’s plenty of evidence to suggest we’ll be seeing a lot more of this particular cryptocurrency in the future.
