No, it's not a particularly violent form of MMA. And it's not a new synthetic street drug popular at raves. Instead, MSCI is a company that provides investment analysis tools, including a number of well-known equity indices.
The firm started business in the late 1960s under the name Capital International. It formed a partnership with Morgan Stanley in the 1980s that led to the name change: Morgan Stanley Capital International, or MSCI.
The company is best known for indexes focused on various parts of the emerging world. Specifically, MSCI publishes the MSCI BRIC index, which covers the countries of Brazil, Russia, India, and China. It also provides an emerging markets index, tracking performance in two dozen emerging market countries.
