Nakahara Prize

Categories: Marketing

The Nakahara Prize is an award given out annually by the Japanese Economic Association to younger-than-45 Japanese economist bada$$es. Like...they've done economic work that’s gotten them some international attention. So it’s a gold star, like the Nobel Prize for Economics, but just for younger Japanese economists.

It’s been awarded since 1995. While many winners are from the University of Tokyo, other winners are graduates from schools abroad, like LSE, Northwestern, and UCSC. Nothing like a little encouragement to be an economic pioneer.
