Net Factor Income from Abroad

Net factor income from abroad is another name for net foreign factor income (NFFI), the more official term.

Net factor income from abroad measures the difference between GDP—the economic growth domestically, within borders—and GNP—the economic growth produced by a country’s citizens, no matter where they are in the world.

As countries dip their toes into each other’s economic pools, with foreign investment and the rise of digital nomads, the difference between GDP and GNP will grow, making net factor income from abroad more and more interesting.
