Opco

Categories: Incorporation

We’re all busy people. And for those out there who’ve been thinking that they just don’t have time to say or write words and phrases in their entirety, good news: we no longer have to waste valuable time and energy saying or writing out “operating company.” We can just say “opco” and everyone will know what we’re talking about, because “opco” is shorthand for “operating company.”

An “operating company” is a company that produces and/or sells goods and/or services. In the business world, we’ll often see “opco” used alongside terms like “holdco” (“holding company”) and “propco” (“property company”).

Isn’t that grand? Such time-savers.
