Open House

It’s how your realtor markets your home…still. Until Zillow just takes care of it, or we have robotic realtors.

Open houses happen in two flavors. One is for other realtors (usually Tuesday afternoons in most parts of the country, or at least weekdays). Realtors showing other realtors is like a hungry cook shopping for meat. Not a lot of emotion. Just a need to feed.

Then you have the weekend. Saturdays and mostly Sundays. Little signs all over the place...direct lookie-loos to dry their feet on the welcome mat outside the front door and do the fast nickel tour. The realtor holding that open house is looking for hunger, fear, and/or angst in the eyes of the loos. And then she pounces.
