Portfolio Sale

A sale from your portfolio, i.e. not from somewhere else. And a ton being sold.

Like...more or less, you're selling your whole portfolio. You have 27 stocks in there and 32 bonds, and you're selling like 80% of its value. Why would you need to do this? You need to raise cash. Fast. Maybe you had redemptions, i.e. people wanted their investment dollars back because...you sucked. Or people wanted their investment dollars back because you were awesome, and they believe you'll regress to the mean.

Either way, you're dumping (financially) and moving on.
