Prime Bank

No, Prime Bank is not a bank for Amazon Prime members...though don’t hold us to that forever. You never know what’s going on in that bald Bezos head.
Originally, “prime bank” meant what is sounds like: a bank that’s prime, which means "big." Welcome to America. Prime banks were big banks who threw around their weight in investments. Because it takes money to make money, and because big banks have a lot of money...they made a lot of money. Which made them prime.
But then along came scammers. Is that really the best waffle in the state of Florida? Is that really a woman texting you late at night, or perhaps just a fat man in his bed? Is that really a prime bank?
Scammers would use the term “prime bank” when trying to talk up investments they were “selling.” “Selling”...because those prime bank securities were all made up. Scammers lay the bait, then take the money and run. So now “prime bank” sounds like “scam scam” for people in the biz.
