Production Rate

How fast do rabbits multiply? Eh, wait, that's reproduction.

Okay, zip backwards. Think about a semi-conductor company. They make 100,000 units a day, gross. Net of failures, they make 40,000 units (on average) that actually...work. Those numbers matter a ton, as they have to promise the people to whom they are selling their wares, i.e. are counting on them to produce. To deliver. And their suppliers are counting on them to suck up the silicon and production stampers and various metals and clean room talent. Everything is linked. One hiccup in the middle, and the whole house of cards falls over. If the production rate falls to 35,000 a day, tons of bad things happen.
