Profit Center

Google search is where Google makes like 142 percent of its profits. So search for Google is its profit center.

In fact, if it weren’t for its search engine, Google would actually lose money.

YouTube lost about a billion bucks a year for a long time. GoogleMaps…500 mil. Everything else loses around 3 billion a year total. Search makes 30 bil annually. So it more than makes up for everything else.

Without the profit center generating profits, or cash to fund all these other wacky ideas, Google would just be, uh…searching for a way to make money. But they Googled it and found it on the first click.
