Public Limited Company - PLC

  

More or less the British version of an LLC, mashed up with a public company. That is, they've sold shares to Henry Allomate and Josefina Royalwatcher. The company then carries all of the normal reporting burden, as well as European GAAP compliance and other fiduciary management duties. The "PLC" thing is a must-show element of the story; that is, the company can't be referred to as just Cadbury...it has to be Cadbury PLC, like it's wearing those letters as a Britishish badge of courage.

Albeit very different than sporting a red "A." The Brits really do know their fashion, though.
