Pump And Dump

First, you gotta see Wolf of Wall Street. Stuart Weissman shoes. Pump and dumps.

So...what's this all about? Well, unethical banks will pump up the price of shares they own or are trying to foist onto the public. Vague promises of $5 a share in earnings are made when they actually think the right number is closer to $3. Hype. Tambourine banging. Free Lakers tickets.

Pump up the price of the stock to $28, dump the million shares on the market. And then run....as the stock craters to the $10-ish levels it should have been sold for. Do this a few times and you lose all your clients. (So you'd then have to travel the world to find new sucke...er, um, clients to sell to, and/or take a stock dump upon.)
