Quadrix

Wouldn’t it be great if we had a foolproof system for evaluating and predicting stock performance? It sure would, but here’s a spoiler alert: that system doesn’t exist. However, that doesn’t stop folks from trying to invent it.

One such system is called “Quadrix,” and it’s the brainchild of those smart cookies over at Horizon Publishing Company, a popular investment publication organization. Quadrix is a valuation system that looks at stocks through the lens of about 90 different weighted variables. Once that’s done, each stock is given a score from 1 to 100 in each of these major categories: earnings estimates, financial strength, momentum, performance, quality, value, and volume metrics. The higher the score, the more valuable the stock is supposed to be.

Again, this isn’t a foolproof system—Quadrix can’t account for or predict stuff like mergers, acquisitions, leadership scandals, etc. that can impact a stock’s value—but it is another analytic tool that savvy investors can add to their financial toolbox.
