Sales Mix

Categories: Marketing

See: Product Mix.

You had sales in 18 countries. About half were from the U.S. That's one sales mix. You also had about a third of your revenues from software sales (70% pre-tax margins) and about 2/3 from hardware (about 20% pre-tax margins). That's another mix. You had Democrats buy about half of your product and Republicans buy the other half. That's another sales mix.

Ok, enough, enough...you get the gist. Why do you care? Well, if possible to move around your mix, you want to favor the high profit margin sales over the low margin sales, right? Right.

Like it says on the dollar bill: In Margin We Trust.
