Sealed-Bid Auction

  

Nobody knew what anyone else was bidding for the Life Saver Package (it was either a bunch of circular hard candies in 4,000 packages...or it was a kidney, a liver, two lungs, and a heart, no questions asked). The bids were written down, verified for buyer ability to pay. And envelopes licked. They were submitted to the auctioneer at Sotheby's and, well, highest bid wins. Still not sure what, though.
