Seasoned Issue

Categories: IPO

It's been out there a while. Investors know the company, know how the stock trades, know the management. Bankers know 'em as well. So do their competitors, who copiously read their 10Q and 10k filings the minute they come out. They're seasoned. Known.

GE is seasoned. Disney is seasoned. Whatever.com, maker of the new flying car, is not a seasoned issue; its shares trade volatilely, i.e. all over the place, as few investors really understand or believe the story.

Put this one back in the oven for a few years and let it season.
