Segment Margin

Categories: Accounting

Disney reports a bunch of segments. "Theme parks" is one. Network Television (ABC) is another. ESPN is another. Each segment has its own income statement with its own segment profitability. The segment margins of each division are reported separately, and Wall Street analysts take all this data into account when they decide whether DIS is worth $100 a share, $200 a share, or whatever.
