Soft Paper Report

Categories: Marketing

We’ve all probably come across at least one report or article that we’ve read, set down, and thought to ourselves, “What a pile of garbage that was.” Not necessarily because we disagreed with the author’s conclusions—that’s bound to happen every now and again—but because the author used unreliable data, or because they drew completely whacked out conclusions from perfectly reasonable data.

Well, it should please everyone to know that there is a wonderfully apt slang term for these sorts of articles and reports, and that term is “soft paper report.” “Soft paper” is another way of saying “toilet paper,” and in case some out there aren’t picking up what this euphemism is plopping down, allow us to spell it out: a “soft paper report” is one that is good for nothing other than bum-wiping. Not only is the imagery nice and vivid, but it leaves no doubt as to our opinion about what we’ve read.
