Squawk Box

CNBC. TV show. Loud-mouthed host who gets emotional about stocks (and bonds and politics and policy).

The show covers stocks from a retail perspective. So the buy/sell/hold recommendations are laughably bad, over time. But it's great entertainment if you can think of investing as a football game, and you're rooting for one side or another. Dangerous, though, if you actually rely on this show for your retirement money.

And you can't blame Cramer for focusing on what's hot this hour. Nobody wants to watch a show talking about what the world will likely look like from a financial perspective a decade or three from now.
