Standard Of Living

Categories: Econ

We have a good one in the U.S., pretty much no matter who you are, relative to similar zones in India, China, Somalia, etc.

Your standard is your basics: certainty of fair treatment by the government, and certainty of ability to get food, water, basic health care, and HBO. Do you have heat in the winter, breeze or A/C in the summer? Are you protected from marauding Huns? If yes, then your standard of living is likely better than was the King of France's in the 18th Century.
