Tailored Advertising

Categories: Marketing

You're selling denture cleanser. The average age of your customer: 78. They were born just before the car became reallllly popular.

So the ads? They have to have a vastly different appeal than if you were selling iPhone covers to 16-year-old girls, right? You'll tailor your advertising to your target demographic. That demo is low-tech. Half of them still have rotary phones and marvel at mobile devices. "Look, Sonny, no wires!"

So you'll tailor your denture cleanser, Dentrue, to them with images of happy old people who are financially solvent and sexually satisfied, and who can comfortably take their teeth out. And no, those things are not all linked.

"Tailor" = "Customize."
