Tax Code

Another term for Tax Laws. But "code" is more apt. The laws are so deep, so arcane, so I-have-to-be-a-lawyer-to-understand-them, that they are written as if in code (Morse, lawyer, or otherwise).

The goal, at least notionally, was to be fair...but that concept is defined so differently by so many people that it just kind of fades away as a shining star in our system. If we're starting to earn real money, with myriad tax deductions winking at us, we have to hire specialists to file our taxes, usually. And that is just sad.
