Tax Free

“Tax” and “free” together?! Talk about a double take. Tax free refers to things (goods, services, income, securities like bonds) that aren’t taxed a dime. Not even a penny.

Why on earth would anything be tax free? you ask? Most of the time, it’s to try to incentivize people to spend, spend, spend (rather than saving for a rainy day). By spending or investing in the market, this boosts the money moving around in the economy, making it “healthier” as one would say. Making certain things tax free can be part of an economic stimulus plan. Bring. It. on.
