Waste comes in all forms, some organic and some...the human kind. Other waste exists in the form of politicians. And still other waste is, in fact, toxic.
Semiconductors get etched with gallium arsenide, or at least used to; their rheumy killed or created 3-headed fish down the river. Eventually, the polluters were sued or taxed to death, and the problem went away. We hope.
