See: Historical Trading Range. Whatever.com has "always" (like, in the last 10 years) traded at somewhere between 15x and 18x trailing earnings. That's its historical trading range earnings multiple. And it has grown earnings about 10% a year on average over time, so it's stock that has, at times, done a bit better than that when the mutliple expanded, and a bit worse when the multiple contracted.

But throughout that whole time, its range was bound. Like Christian Grey's girlfriend.
