You're investing. You're researching. You're banking. You'll hear that So-and-So made 4 percent. If it took you a decade to make it, it's a terrible score. If it took you a month, probably a good score.

That 4 percent is an unannualized number. It's one month. Annualize it by multiplying by 12, and it's 48%. Make half your money back in a year. That works.
