Vested Interest

Categories: Company Management

You care. That is, if you have a vested interest in something, then you care about the outcome. So like...if you are a silicon wafer supplier and you know that supplies are scarce, yet you own 5% of Apple, then you have a vested interest in being sure that you continue to deliver to Apple the silicon wafers they need for their new phones or Apple stock gets crushed and then you lose money in your share ownership of the behemoth company.
