Worn Currency

Just like “worn clothing,” “worn currency” is old AF. Worn currency has seen a thing or two in its day. In currency-years, it’s more likely old, but not necessarily. Just like us humans, currencies can get injured at any time. These war-beaten hero-bills are torn, have been beaten to a pulp, or were left in the mud a little too long.

Okay. Anyway, when banks receive worn currency, first they roll their eyes. Then, they exchange them with the Fed. Fun fact: there are 28 Federal Reserve offices in the US. For the exchange, buyers get new, crisp, baby bills. If only those bills knew what was coming.
